Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Rohse, 75, Durant, were conducted Oct. 8 in Davenport, the Rev. Herbert Petersen of St. Mark's Lutheran church officiating. Pallbearers were John Stuehm, Lester Bartscher, Lloyd Bartscher, Merle Bannick, Ralph Ripson and Harry Schluensen. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Mrs. Rohse died Oct. 5 at the Wilton Nursing Home after a 10-day illness.

The former Alma Bartscher was born Jan. 18, 1886, in Cedar county, the daughter of William and Doris Bartscher. She was educated in the Cedar county schools. Feb. 17, 1909, she was united in marriage to William Rohse at Davenport. The couple farmed near Bennett until 1949 when they moved to Durant.

Survivors include her husband, a son, Dr. Wayne Rohse, Rockford, Ill.; a brother, Hugo Bartscher, Durant; 2 sisters, Mrs. Therese Lamp, Durant, and Mrs. Cora Haegele, Muscatine; and 2 grandchildren. A daughter preceded her in death.
