Funeral services for Henry B. Pearson, 85, retired Cedar county farmer who died Aug. 29 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City, were Aug. 31 at West Branch Methodist church.

The Rev. Charles F. Haigh officiated. Burial was in West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Pearson was born April 13, 1878 at Springdale, the son of Lycurgus and Lucy Eggleston Pearson. On April 14, 1920, he married Miriam B. Thomas at West Branch. She died in 1936. Mr. Pearson married Bernice Connelly in West Branch Oct. 2, 1940.

He was a member of West Branch Methodist church and a charter member of the Cedar County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include the widow; a brother, Alvah, Pasadena, Calif.; and a niece and 3 nephews.
