July 25, 1963 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. Walter Randall, 63, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home with Gordon Smith of Clarence officiating. Mrs. Irma Crawford will be organist and Mrs. Wendell Willer, vocalist.

Pallbearers will be Lewis Thordsen, Rex Berry, Harry Overman, Merlin Daughterty, Willis McGuire and Leonard Dice. Mr. and Mrs. James Shontz will be in charge of flowers. Burial will be in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Randall died suddenly July 22 while attending a card party at the Leonard Dice home.

Dorothy Hobstetter, daughter of Edwin and Myrtle Challis Hobstetter, was born in Tipton July 28, 1899 and graduated from Tipton high school with the class of 1917. She taught in the rural schools of the county for 30 years, her last school being Rochester No. 2

She was married to Walter F. Randall Dec. 23, 1930. She spent her life in the Tipton community and was a past member of the Rebekah lodge.

She is survived by her husband and 3 sisters, Mrs. A. H. (Margaret) Albert and Mrs. Raymonde (Alice) Maurer, both of Tipton and Mrs. Edwin (Martha) Baldwin of West Liberty and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
