Services were held July 24 at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home for Clifford Augustas B. (Scotty) Scott, who died July 21 in University hospitals after an illness of 4 days. The Rev. I. O. Espeseth was in charge and burial was at Dubuque in Linwood cemetery.

Mr. Scott, who worked for the county on bridge construction, had been a resident of the community since 1955. He was born at Epworth March 6, 1909, the son of James and Nettie Baldwin Scott, and married Mildred Ayers Sept. 16, 1935 at Dubuque.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. William (Darlene) Clark, Galesburg, Ill.; a son, James M. Scott, Cedar Rapids; 4 sisters, Mrs. Liza Hoag and Mrs. Harriett Clepaham, both of Dubuque; Mrs. Irma Cooksley, Epworth and Mrs. Hannah Folkman, East Dubuque, Ill.; a brother, Charles Scott, Dubuque, and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and several sisters and brothers.
