Services were conducted at Wilton Junction May 14 for Herman Frederick Jarr, 81, who died May 12 at a Wilton Junction nursing home.

The Rev. John B. Nieman of Zion Lutheran church, Wilton Junction, officiated at the rites. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery.

Jarr has operated a meat market in Wilton Junction for many years and was a member of Wilton Lutheran church.

He was born March 31, 1882, at Schlesweig-Holstein, Germany, the son of Ernest and Mary Stender Jarr. He had lived in Wilton Junction since he was 7 years old.

He married Essie Feltman April 24, 1907, in Cedar county.

Surviving is his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
