Arnold Kleppe, 58, Clarence died suddenly Monday of an apparent heart attack while working in the field. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Clarence, with Dr. C. W. Ebbert officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. The body will be taken to the family home Thursday afternoon from the Chapman Funeral home.

The mixed quartet of St. John's Church will sing, with Rosalyn Kintzel as organist. Mrs. Harry Schott and Mrs. Leo Weseman will be in charge of flowers. Pallbearers will be Leo and Henry Weseman, Richard Wolfe, Ralph and Rudolph Krummel and Darrel Kleppe.

Mr. Kleppe was born June 22, 1904, in Clarence, the son of C.F.W. and Katherine Brendes Kleppe. He was a lifelong resident and farmer of the Clarence area. He was married to Wilhelmina Weseman June 21, 1931 at Nashua.

Mr. Kleppe is survived by his wife, his father and a daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Judy) Schoff and a brother, Lawrence, all of Clarence.
