John Paulsen, 91, a Durant resident for 62 years, died in the Davenport Nursing Home, Davenport, March 18 following an extended illness.

He was born Sept. 2, 1871 in Scott county, the son of Peter and Dora Paulsen. He was engaged in farming in Scott county until his retirement in 19?0.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Services were held March 20 in Durant. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.
