Funeral services for Mrs. DeVere Young, 52, were held March 7 at the Methodist church in Mechanicsville with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in Oak Wood cemetery, Monticello.

Born Leone Marie VanderMark Nov. 17, 1910 at Monticello, she was the daughter of Luther and Julie VanderMark. She died March 5 following an illness of 15 years.

She worked for the Gibeaut Insurance Co. for a number of years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Julie Walton and a sister, Mrs. Merle O'Connor.
