Henry Sander, 79, Lowden, died Feb. 25 in Utopia Nursing home in Tipton. Death was due to pneumonia. Services were held Wednesday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran church at Lowden with the Rev. Theo. J. Eickelberg officiating. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

Mr. Sander was born Nov. 18, 1883 in Massillon township. His parents were John and Sophie Broeking Sander. He received his education in Trinity Day School and worked as a mason until his retirement in 1955. He never married.

Survivors include 3 sisters, Mrs. Henry (Clara) Ibsen, Lowden; Mrs. Charles (Amanda) Lange, Clinton and Mrs. Arthur (Ida) Paist, Gary, Ind. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
