Funeral services were held Feb. 15 at Davenport for Mrs. Edith L. Shaffer, 81, a former Tipton resident. Mrs. Shaffer died Feb. 12 at Davenport. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery at Tipton.

Mrs. Shaffer, the former Edith Baxter, was born in Albert Lea, Minn. She was married to Charles W. Shaffer at Rock Island, Ill. in 1898. They moved to Tipton where they lived until 1928 and then moved to Davenport. Mr. Shaffer died in 1958.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Austa Boynton, of Canada, Minnie France, Tipton, Mrs. Edwin (Alzada) Dittmer, Davenport, Mrs. Donna Jackson, with whom she lived; a grandson; and 4 sisters, Mrs. Henry Jacoby, Stillwater, Minn., Mrs. Clara Dingmann, Duluth, Minn., and Mrs. Dora Werling, Marion.
