Funeral services for the Rev. Byron Horn, 75, who died Jan. 21 in a Glendale, Calif. hospital were held Jan. 24. The Rev. Ted Evans officiated and interment followed at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills cemetery.

Born in Tipton, Dr. Horn had lived in the Los Angeles area 35 years. He was a graduate of Northwestern University, the Garrett Biblical institute and received his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.

Although he had been an educator most of his ministerial career, teaching in various Methodist institutions, Dr. Horn founded and built the Methodist church in Artesia and had been on the staff of the First Methodist church of Los Angeles.

Dr. Horn is survived by his widow, Mrs. Leona Horn; 2 sons, Loyd of Las Vegas, Nev., and Robert D., of Santa Rosa, Calif.; 9 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Vera Van Wagenen of Claremont, Calif.; 2 brothers, Ernest of Lebanon, Mo. and John Horn of Memphis, Mo.
