Kathryn Ann King, 7 week old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred King of West Branch died suddenly at the family home Jan. 22. Funeral services were Jan. 25 with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery, Iowa City.

The baby was apparently in good health when she was fed and put to bed by her mother. When she failed to awaken at the usual time her mother investigated and was unable to arouse her. A doctor and the West Branch resuscitator had been called. However, the doctor estimated that the child had been dead about 2 hours and resuscitation efforts were of no avail.

She is survived by her parents, a sister, Kimberly Kay, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard King of West Branch and Wayne Hamilton of Iowa City.
