DIED--At the home of his parents in Massillon Township, Hiram Clayton Emerson, Friday, June 23, 1893, age 6 years, 9 months and 5 days.

Hiram Clayton Emerson, the youngest of a family of twelve children, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Emerson and brother of Mrs. P. T. Mitchell, of this place, was born Sept. 18, 1886, thus being nearly seven years of age. Of a gentle and loving disposition, he was a favorite not only in the family, but with playmates and acquaintances generally. It seems hard for loving parents, brothers and sisters to be called to witness the death and burial of one who was so dearly beloved as this little one. The funeral services were held at the residence Sunday and conducted by Rev. Heatly, of Lowden, and the remains were laid to rest in the Massillon cemetery. The friends of the family were very kind in assisting the bereaved ones during sickness and death.
