Funeral services for Edward C. Schott, 78, were held Dec. 15 at St. Mary's Catholic church, Mechanicsville, with the Rev. P. J. Casey officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ernest Crock, Francis Crock, Earl Blake, Donald Walshire, Raymond Fisher and Arnold Driscoll.

Edward Clement Schott, the son of Nicholas and Philomena Schott, was born in Noble county, Ohio, in 1884. He was married in 1914 to Edith Klinkkammer at St. Mary's Catholic church, Mechanicsville.

Surviving are 2 sons, Kenneth, Coggon, and Donald, Kansas City, Kans.; 5 daughters, Mrs. William (Iona) McKay, Webster; Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Jordon, Center Point; Mrs. Vernon (Ethyl) Lamp, Tipton; Mrs. Meredith (Dorothy) Hahn, Eureka Springs, Ark.; Mrs. Harold (Verna) Burdock, What Cheer; 26 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are 3 sisters, Mrs. John (Laura) Biedenbach, Mechanicsville; Mrs. Amelia Baker, Lewisville, Ohio; and Mrs. Emma Gerst, Athens, Ohio, and 4 brothers, Albert, Canton, Ohio; Charles, Harrietsville, Ohio; Clarence, Clinton, Ohio, and Henry, Caldwell, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Verna.
