Miss Ruther moved to Clarence in 1946 after her brother passed away, and was a resident of this community until failing health made it necessary for her to move to the nursing home about a year ago.

She is survived by one brother, August, of Mason City, Iowa; one niece and five nephews.

Funeral services were held at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence on Wednesday, February 14th, 1962 at 1:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Dr. C. W. Ebbert, pastor. The music was furnished by a mixed quartet with Rosalyn Kintzel as the organist. In charge of floral tributes were Mrs. Naomi Johnson and Mrs. Arthur Peters. The pallbearers were: Lester Kelly, Raymond McDaniel, George Meier, Ed Albert, Charles Joachim and Herman Gehrls.

Interment was made in the Clarence Cemetery.
