Mrs. Wilmont Lendt passed away at her home here in Clarence unexpectedly Monday morning, December 25th after a brief illness. She had reached the age of 51 years, 7 months and 18 days.

Genevieve Viola Lendt was born May 7, 1910 at Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William and Rosa Merrill Morgan.

On March 10, 1931 she was married to Wilmot Lendt in Cedar Rapids. They made their home on farms in the Tipton and Clarence communities until 1938 when they moved to Clarence where they have resided continuously since.

To this union were born three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Weaver, Shirlene; Mrs. William Cromer, Donna Lou; and Mrs. Larry Ledvina, Sherrill; all of Clarence.

Left to mourn her death are her husband, the daughters and their husbands, five grandchildren, Michael, Marcy, Mark and Mervin Weaver and Marlon Joe Ledvina, her mother, Mrs. Rosa Kelly, who made her home with her daughter, four sisters, Mrs. W. E. Ackley, El Cerrito, Calif.; Mrs. Archie Yerrington, Rochester; Mrs. Earl Baker, Tipton and Miss Gladys Morgan, Cedar Rapids, a host of other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers who died in infancy.

Mrs. Lendt was a member of Mount Zion Methodist Church near Tipton and of Rosewood Camp, Clarence, Royal Neighbors of America.

Funeral services were held at the Clarence Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 1961 being conducted by Rev. E. G. Steinman. Music was furnished by Mrs. Eugene McCaw, soloist and Mrs. Robert Joslin, organist. In charge of the floral tributes were Mrs. LaVelle Martin and Mrs. Kenneth Lovell. Pallbearers were Frank Lovell, Charles Geertz, Kenneth Deerberg, Dwaine Baker, William Lovell and Wayne Deerberg.

Interment was made in the Clarence cemetery.
