Funeral services for Clement C. Barrett, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Bennett Methodist church with the Rev. Omar Pettersen in charge. Pallbearers will be Paul Hambright, Walter Schneckloth, Clarence and Russell Miller, Tom Johnson and Fred Horstmann. Burial will be in Inland cemetery.

Mr. Barrett died at Bennett Dec. 12 after an illness of 10 days.

The son of Alexander and Mary Montz Barrett he was born March 3, 1883 in Inland township. He spent his life in the Bennett area where he was a carpenter.

He was married to Lillian O. Smith at the Bennett Methodist parsonage March 16, 1916. He joined the Methodist church in Inland township in 1897 and was a member of the Bennett Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Delbert (Edna) Wiese; 2 sisters, Mrs. Bertha Denneny and Jenietta Brockmeier, and 2 grandsons, Lee Wiese of Brooklyn, N.Y. and David, at home.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William C. and Hiram.
