August Hillman, 75, Dixon, died July 24 in Mercy hospital at Davenport.

Services were July 27 in Davenport with burial in Fairmont cemetery.

He was born in Lowden, Jan. 19, 1886, to Henry and Anna Hillman. He married Sophia Hanson Nov. 25, 1914. They farmed until retiring in 1936 when they moved to Dixon.

He was a member of Zerebatha Lodge 184, AF & AM; Kaaba Shrine of Davenport, and Zarapheth Consistory, Davenport.

Surviving are his wife; a brother, Carl, Wheatland; 3 sisters, Mrs. Emma Schneeckloth, Davenport, and Mrs. William (Ida) Rix and Mrs. Hugo (Alma) Rix, both of Clarence, and severance nieces and nephews. A brother preceded him in death.
