Funeral services for Mrs. Ira (Amy) Goodale, 74, were held July 15 at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home with Gordon Smith in charge of services. Pallbearers were Verner Williams, John Sharpless, John Burroughs, Al Kaplan, Walter Statts and Marvin Goodale.

Mrs. Goodale died July 12 at University hospital, Iowa City, after a lingering illness.

The daughter of Jacob and Rachael Schelle, she was born in Cedar county Oct. 4, 1884. She was married to Ira Goodale in Tipton Jan. 25, 1905. She lived in the Rochester and Cedar Valley communities.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Wilbur, Atalissa, a brother, Jacob Schelle, Muscatine; a sister, Mrs. Roy Hummell, Denver, Colo., 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
