Frank F. Meixner, 88, died at 3 a.m. April 4 at the home of his son, John M. Meixner near Atalissa, following a lingering illness.

He was born May 12, 1872 in Missouri and had been a resident of West Liberty for about 20 years after having lived in Cedar county for many years. He was married to Mary M. Baughaun May 18, 1897, in Tipton.

He is survived by 2 sons, John F. and Frank A. Jr., West Liberty; 4 daughters, Mrs. Clarence Elliott, Davenport; Mrs. Lawrence Osborne, Atlantic; Mrs. Clarence Ford, Tipton, and Mrs. Olin Schrock, West Branch; 23 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. in the Schneider funeral home at West Liberty. Burial will be in the Oakdale cemetery at Wilton Junction.
