Adolph Ruhberg, 74, retired Durant farmer, died at 11:50 a.m. Feb. 24 at University hospital in Iowa City.

Born Sept. 29, 1886, in Scott county, he was the son of Jurgen and Julianne Ruhberg. He married Laura Wendt Dec. 20, 1911, at Davenport. The couple farmed in Scott and Cedar counties until retiring 16 years ago and moving to Durant.

Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Eunice) Arp, Davenport; one brother, Edward Ruhberg of South Dakota; 2 sisters, Mrs. Emma Holst and Mrs. Gus (Minnie) Herring, both of Davenport; and 3 grandsons. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Feb. 27 at Gloria Dei Lutheran church, Durant. Burial was at Memorial Park cemetery, Davenport.
