Ray H. Johnson, 46, of Wilton Junction, died suddenly at his home at 7 a.m. Feb. 27. A mechanic at the Rock Island Arsenal, he had been a Wilton Junction resident 15 years.

A former Durant resident, he was born May 10, 1914, at Durant, son of Harry and Mae Sohsen Johnson. He married Norma Ellis Sept. 18, 1945, at Muscatine.

A navy veteran of world war II, serving 8 1/2 years, he was a member of Wilton American Legion Post 584 and the Muscatine Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife and one son, Bruce E., at home. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilton Junction with the Rev. Paul Boaz officiating. Burial will be at the Durant cemetery. Military rites will be in charge of the Wilton Legion Post.
