Funeral services for Don Young, 56, were held Jan. 27 at the Presbyterian church in Mechanicsville with the Rev. George Gallaher officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Masonic and military rites were held at the grave.

Mr. Young was born in Mechanicsville, the son of Samuel and Dora Satterly Young. He died Jan. 26 at Veterans hospital in Iowa City following major surgery.

He was employed at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids.

He is survived by his wife, his father, a step-son, Robert Hodges, Richardson, Texas; 2 sisters, Mrs. George Leeman and Mrs. Jerry Mahring and 2 brothers, Truman and Max, all of Cedar Rapids.
