Funeral services for W. H. Barnes, 81, were held Jan. 29 at Mechanicsville with the Rev. George Gallaher in charge. The Odd Fellows lodge of Cedar Rapids gave the burial service. Burial was at Tripoli.

Mr. Barnes died suddenly Jan. 26 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Woods. Mr. and Mrs. Barnes, who formerly lived at Hawkeye, came to Mechanicsville several years ago to make their home with Mrs. Woods. He is survived by his wife and daughter and a half-sister, living in Delta, Colo.
