Mrs. George (Gladys Fern) Marolf, 58, a life resident of Wilton Junction, died at 12:20 a.m. Jan. 15 at the University hospital, Iowa City, after a lengthy illness.

The daughter of Charles and Sadie Johnston McQuillen, she was born Aug. 5, 1902, in Cedar county.

She was married Dec. 19, 1923, at Wilton Junction to George W. Marolf. She was a member of the First Methodist church, and the W.S.C.S. Ruthean circle.

Survivors include her husband, George; 3 sons, Robert H., Durant, George E. and Lyle E. both of Wilton Junction; a daughter, Rita Sue Marolf, Wilton Junction; 3 sisters, Mrs. Dallas Sterner and Mrs. Charles Whitmer, Wilton Junction, and Mrs. Chris Schneckloth of Bennett, and 7 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons and 2 sisters.

Funeral services were Jan. 18 at the Wilton Junction Methodist church, with the Rev. Robert G. Farr in charge. Interment was in the Oakdale cemetery.
