Funeral services for Raymond W. Reed, 57, were held at 10 a.m. Jan. 9 at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home. The Rev. Edward Collins was in charge. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mr. Reed died early Jan. 7 at his home in Tipton.

The son of John and Stella Reed, he was born in Tipton July 13, 1903. He was married to June Adams July 12, 1949. He spent nearly all of his life in the Tipton community and was a heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife, 6 daughters, a son and a brother, Cyril Reed, Cambridge, Ill.
