Marcus B. Nelson, 90, died at 4:45 a.m. Dec. 6 at a Wilton Junction nursing home, after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Nelson was born Feb. 4, 1870 at Durant, the son of Thomas and Eleanor Brown Nelson. He was raised in the Durant and Wilton Junction communities. He lived at Cedar Falls for a number of years, and resided in Wilton Junction for the past 20 years.

He was married Aug. 28, 1895, at Wilton Junction to Mary I. Warren. He was a member of the Wilton Junction Methodist church.

Mr. Nelson was a retired banker and real estate broker.

Survivors in addition to his widow are, 3 sons, Warren B. Nelson, Glen Falls, N.Y., Mark S. Nelson and Edgar B. Nelson, both of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Milton (Gertrude) Behrens, Grundy Center; and one brother, Henry Nelson, LaMesa, Calif.; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held Dec. 9 at Wilton Junction with the Rev. Robert Farr in charge. Interment was at Oakdale cemetery.
