Funeral services for Wilson N. Walters were held Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 22, at the Presbyterian church with the Rev. George Gallaher officiating. The Masonic burial service was given at the church by W. E. Shrope. Burial was at Cedar Memorial cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Born Jan.8, 1878 in Jones county the son of Myron and Mary Tippet Walters, he died Saturday evening, Nov. 19, at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids.

He and Mrs. Walters lived in Mechanicsville for 21 years, where he was depot agent for the Chicago and Northwestern railroads until his retirement in 1947.

He was a member of the Presbyterian church, Patmos Lodge A.F. and A.M. and Evangeline Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to his wife, the former Bertha E. Orcutt of Maquoketa, he is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Harold Clayton of Marshalltown and Mrs. M. W. Rowser of Montrose, Calif.; 8 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; a brother, Roy Walters of Onslow and 2 sisters, Mrs. Herman Henningsen of Dike and Mrs. Sybil Smith, Washington, D. C.
