Charles Phillip Shuger, 63, Wilton Junction farmer, died about 9 p.m. Nov. 21 at his farm home after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of the Wilton Junction community with the except of a few years during his youth.

Born Sept. 4, 1897, at Wilton Junction, he was the son of Cyrus and Annie Shuger. He married Alma Brammeier Nov. 27, 1919, at Wilton Junction. Mr. Shuger was a member of Zion Lutheran church, Wilton Junction.

Survivors include his wife, 3 sons, Alvin, Leo and John, all of Wilton Junction; two brothers, Frank of Grand Junction, Colo.; and John of Wilton Junction; one sister, Helen Shuger of Wilton Junction and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services were held Nov. 23 at Wilton Junction Zion Lutheran church with Rev. John B. Nieman officiating. Burial was at Oakdale cemetery.
