Mrs. Bertha Cripliver, 94, former resident of the West Branch and Springdale areas, died Nov. 21 at a Ft. Dodge rest home after a long illness.

She was born in Norway Sept. 4, 1866, and came to America in 1892. She came to the Springdale area in 1909 after her marriage to Tritiack Carlson. After his death, she was married to Willard H. Maxson in 1914. Mr. Maxson died in 1927, and she was married to Forrest Cripliver in 1934. After his death, she moved to Ft. Dodge.

Mrs. Cripliver was a member of the Springdale Methodist church.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at the Springdale Methodist church with the Rev. L. E. Bauman officiating. Interment was in the Springdale cemetery.
