Funeral services for B. F. Stout, 68, were held in Tipton Nov. 7 with the Rev. Arthur Stratemeyer in charge. Burial was in the Woodbridge cemetery near Buchanan.

Mr. Stout died in his home in Tipton Nov. 5 following a heart attack.

Benjamin Franklin Stout was born April 26, 1892, the son of Jacob and Della Stout on a farm near Buchanan. He spent his boyhood on the family farm near Buchanan and attended the Buchanan rural school.

He was married to Florence Edwards March 22, 1920, at Muscatine. In 1921 they moved to a farm near Buchanan where they lived until 1950, when they retired and moved to Tipton. He was employed at the Tipton frozen food locker for several years.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Donald, 2 grandchildren, Alan and Randall; 2 sisters, Sarah and Ethel Stout; 4 brothers, Fred, Ralph, Jesse and Glenn, all of Tipton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
