Charles Beryl Smith, 43, a life long resident of Wilton Junction, died Thursday in Durant of a heart attack while at work. Services were held Saturday at the Griffith funeral home in Wilton Junction. The Rev. Robert Dodder officiated and burial was at Oakdale cemetery in Wilton Junction.

He was born June 11, 1913, in Wilton Junction and married Phyllis Kolmerer, June 29, 1945, in Wilton Junction. He was a member of the Wilton Junction Methodist church, a veteran of World War II, and was employed as an auto mechanic.

Surviving are his wife; his mother; one son, Michael, at home; a daughter, Susan, at home; a step-brother, Byron E. Glover, Albuquerque, N.M. and a sister, Mrs. Henry Zellmer, Davenport.
