Funeral services for Harry Bolton, 90, were held Saturday in the Sheets and Dahn funeral home, with the Rev. Howard Dukelow in charge. Services were also held by the Tipton Odd Fellows lodge. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Bolton died Thursday. He suffered a stroke three weeks ago.

Harry Compton Bolton, the son of John H. and Cornelia Culver Bolton, was born on a farm four miles southeast of Tipton, May 22, 1866.

He spent his boyhood days on the farm and was married to Minnie Carl in 1875. They were the parents on nine children, eight sons and one daughter.

Mr. Bolton was engaged in the plumbing business for many years in Tipton.

He was an honorary member of the Tipton Fire company having served as the chief for a number of years. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows lodge for over 50 years.

He is survived by four sons and a daughter, Austin, Sioux City; Mrs. H. L. (June) Tracy, Sioux City; Ernest and Clifford, Tipton; Lewis, Sioux City; a brother, Sherman, Tipton; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Folsom, Davenport and Nena Chaney, Spirit Lake; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Those preceding him in death were his parents, his wife in 1941, four sons, Dwight, Howard, Paul and James; a brother, John, and two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Morton and Mrs. Nettie Reeves, along with two infant sisters.
