Mr. and Mrs. Ed Deininger of Lowden received word of the death of their son-in-law, Lester Musel, 48, San Mateo, Calif., Saturday, March 10, following an illness of several months. Funeral services were held there Tuesday.

Lester Musel was born July 1, 1907 in State Center, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Musel. He came to Lowden with his parents when a small boy. He graduated from Lowden high school, after which he attended the aircraft school in Oakland, Calif. He has been employed by the United Airlines for 25 years and was a chief flight engineer at the time of his death.

He was married July 13, 1932, in Kewanee, Ill., to Esther Deininger, of Lowden. They lived in Cheyenne, Wyo., and Denver, Colo., before moving to San Mateo, Calif.

Survivors are his widow, a son, Allen; two daughters, Barbara and Pamela; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Musel; a brother, Leonard, and a sister, Mrs. Ursula Petznick, all of San Mateo, Calif.
