Funeral services for Mrs. Clinton Beeks, 48, were held Saturday in the Sheets and Dahn funeral home at Tipton. The Rev. Harold Kratzat was in charge. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Beeks died Feb. 29 in a Rock Island hospital. She had been in ill health for several years.

Mable Margaret Spencer was born in Tipton April 9, 1907, the daughter of John and Amelia Spencer, the second daughter of a family of three children.

In 1925 she was married to Edward Hass. They were the parents of two daughters, Viola and Helen. Mr. Hass died in 1934.

She was later married to Clinton Beeks. They were the parents of five children, Clinton Jr., John, Jo Ann, Sandra and Lois. Both of the boys are in the air force. The two youngest girls are at home.

She is survived, in addition to her husband and seven children, by her mother, Mrs. John Spencer, Lowden and two sisters, Mrs. Ed Hintz, Lowden and Mrs. Neil Williams, Mechanicsville; and seven grandchildren.
