Graveside services were held Friday at Van Horne cemetery south of Lowden for John J. Shannon, Cedar Rapids, who died in a Cedar Rapids hospital Feb. 21, following a brief illness.

Services were conducted in Turner chapel at Cedar Rapids Friday by Dr. Wayne Witte, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Maine lodge of which he was a member.

Survivors are his wife, the former Alma Ahlstead, a former Lowden Resident and a sister, May Norton, and a brother, Carl Shannon, both of Fond du Lac, Wis.
