Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Popp, 82, who died at her home Jan. 5 after a 10-day illness, were held Jan. 7, at the Sheets & Dahn funeral home in Tipton. The Rev. Lamont C. Smith, Methodist church of Bennett, was in charge of services. Burial was in Inland cemetery.
Mrs. Don Weih and Mrs. Gene Weih sang and Carl Martens had charge of the flowers. Harry Lilienthal, Edwin Lilienthal, Harry Kai, Orville Hein, Art Henricksen and Herbert Otto, all nephews of the deceased, were pallbearers.
The former Annie Lilienthal was born June 29, 1873, near Durant. She was married to Julius Popp Feb. 19, 1897, in Davenport.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Groth and Mrs. Norma Goettsch, Bennett, and four sons, Edward and Walter, Bennett, Gilbert of Atalissa, and Arnold of Colona, S.D.; two grandsons, Wallace Groth, Davenport, and Maurice Popp, Rockwell City, and two great grandchildren.
