Funeral services for Millard W. Gillam, 63, were held Tuesday at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home. The Rev. A. R. Stratemeyer was in charge with burial in the Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Gillam died Sunday in St. Luke's hospital at Cedar Rapids after an illness of several weeks.

Millard Whitman Gillam, third son of Edson C. and Emma Millard Gillam, was born in Tipton July 6, 1893 and was educated in the Tipton schools.

He was married to Clara May Irwin Aug. 16, 1916 and spent his entire life in Tipton. He was clerk and manager of the Farmer's Cooperative Market in Tipton for several years. For more than 20 years he was employed at the Hardacre theatre.

He is survived by his wife, three sisters, Mrs. Rena Fiede, Harriet and Gladys Gillam, Glendale, Calif; four nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
