Services for a former Clarence area man, found dead in a Cedar Rapids hotel Monday, will be at the Chapman funeral home in Clarence Thursday at 1 p.m.

Chester C. Spidle, 69, an employe of the Victoria hotel in Cedar Rapids, was found dead there by other hotel employes.

He was born June 23, 1888, in Big Springs, Pa., and on Aug. 13, 1913, was married to Bertha Craig in Clarence. They lived in the Mechanicsville area until 1943 when they moved to Cedar Rapids.
