12 September 1957 - The Tipton Conservative

Charlie T. Biggs, Davenport, a former Tipton resident, died Monday in his home. He had been ill for two years.

Mr. Biggs was born in Michigan March 27, 1893. He married Lettie Fitzgibbon, in Peoria, Jan. 5, 1948. He had been employed in the foundry of the J. I. Case Co., Rock Island, until ill health forced his retirement two years ago.

Mr. Biggs was a veteran of World Wars I and II. He was a member of the American Legion at Tipton.

Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Harriet Dauber, Tipton; two daughters, Mrs. George Stuckey, Tipton, and Mrs. Raymond Schooley, West Branch; three sons, Wayne, Tipton, Julian, in the army at Fort Monmouth, N.J., and Carl, Davenport; two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. J. S. Luikart, Tipton.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in Davenport. Burial was in the National cemetery at Rock Island arsenal.
