August Ramm, 90, a resident of Durant for 37 years, died at a Mt. Pleasant hospital Monday after a lingering illness.

Born Aug. 27, 1867, in Germany, he came to Durant at the age of 17. He was married to Emma Wulf Oct. 16, 1896, in Durant. The couple engaged in farming in the Durant community until retiring in 1920. Mrs. Ramm died April 3, 1955.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Fred Edler, of Tipton; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Norma Ramm, of Durant; one granddaughter, Darlene of Tipton, and one sister, Mrs. Johanna Kai, of Sunbury. Two brothers, one sister and three sons preceded him in death.
