Funeral services for Earl Linn, 64, of Atalissa, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rochester Methodist church. The Rev. Walter Tubbs will be in charge with burial in PeeDee cemetery. The family has requested that, instead of flowers, contributions be made to a memorial to the Rochester church.

Linn suffered a stroke Tuesday afternoon in front of the Hardacre theatre in Tipton. He was taken to Mercy hospital in Iowa City where he died Wednesday morning.

Mr. Linn, son of Andrew G. and Kate Wyman Linn, was born April 12, 1893, near Rochester, one of six children. He was graduated from Springdale high school and married Clara Stiff June 23, 1915, at Rochester.

He had been a farmer for more than 40 years in the Rochester community. He was a member of the Rochester Masonic lodge, the Rochester Methodist church, township trustee, and for many years was a member of the Springdale board of education.

He is survived by his wife, five children, Marvin, Rock Island, Ill.; Lester, Tipton; Mrs. Joyce Oelrich, Lamont; Ione Nielsen, Cedar Falls, and the Rev. Eugene, Davenport, and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.
