Funeral services for Ralph Inks were held Saturday afternoon in the Presbyterian church in Mechanicsville with the Rev. Keith Tabor of Cedar Rapids in charge.

The Masonic ceremony was given by William Shrope and the Busch-Dennis post of the American Legion was in charge of graveside ceremonies at Rose Hill cemetery.

Inks died at Veterans hospital, Iowa City, June 5, after a long illness.

The son of George and Mary Inks, he was born April 10, 1894, near Mechanicsville. He was married in 1933 to Kathryn Gleeson. The couple lived in Mechanicsville for a few years, then moved to the Inks farm east of town.

Inks was a veteran of World War I, a past master of Patmos lodge and attended the Presbyterian church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mary Arline and Janet; a son, William, and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Klinger, of St. Petersburg, Fla.
