Jonas Norman Davis, 81, a life-long resident of Cedar county, died Saturday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Beck near Cedar Bluff.
He was born June 16, 1975, at Massillon. March 8, 1897, he was united in marriage with Helen Frink. They made their home in Clarence their entire married life until her death in 1932. Beside his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Raymond; three sisters, Amanda (Mrs. Wesley Brink), May (Mrs. Tom Brink), and Frances Woods, and one brother George.
He is survived by six children: Mrs. Beulah Marquette, Montague, Mich.; Paul Davis, Whitehall, Mich.; Carleton, Olin; Louis, Hampton, Va.; Lucy Lawrence and Gertrude Beck, Tipton, and 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Services were conducted Tuesday, March 5, at 2 p.mn. at the Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence, with Elder U. J. Fike officiating. Interment was at the Clarence cemetery.
