Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Werling, 86, were held Monday afternoon in Trinity Lutheran church with the Rev. Karl F. Hering in charge. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Werling died of a heart attack Friday afternoon while raking leaves in the yard of her home.

As Margaret Bachman, she was born in Saxony, Germany, Sept. 21, 1870. She came to the United States with her nephew, William Keller, in 1888.

She was married to George D. Werling July 24, 1902. He preceded her in death March 5, 1918. She remained on the farm, south of Tipton, until 1926 when she moved to Tipton.

She is survived by a son, Ernest, Tipton; three daughters, Mrs. Eva Lena Chapman, Tipton; Mrs. Bertha Knott, Newton, and Mrs. Mildred Cormier, West Covina, Calif.; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
