Services for William H. Balster, 72, who died Monday in his home in Lowden, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the residence. Burial will be at Elwood.
Born Jan. 23, 1885, in Lost Nation, he married Emma Donielson of Elwood, Feb. 23, 1915. They moved to Lowden from Lost Nation in 1928. He was employed at the Balster furniture store and funeral parlors until the early 1940's, retiring because of ill health.
He was a member of Wheatland Masonic lodge.
Surviving are the wife, a daughter, Mrs. William F. Michael, Waterloo; a son, J. L. of Clarksville; two grandchildren; a brother, Vern, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Hansen, both of Marion.
