Services for John Yanota, 76, were held Saturday in St. Joseph's church at Cedar Valley with the Rev. E. F. Collins in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Yanota died at his home Feb. 13, after a long illness. During this time he was cared for by his sister, Anna.

John Yanota was born in Czechoslovakia Dec. 14, 1881, and came to the United States with his parents when he was 7 years old. The family came to Cedar Rapids where they lived for three years, then moved to a farm near Cedar Valley.

After the death of their parents he and his sister maintained the family home. Mr. Yanota was a life-long farmer.

In addition to his sister, he is survived by a nephew living in Chicago, Ill.
