Funeral services for William S. Jensen, 67, a resident of Stanwood for about five years, were held Thursday at West Liberty with the Rev. Reginald Muhl of Stanwood officiating. Burial was at Oakridge cemetery near West Liberty.

Mr. Jensen died Jan. 7 at University hospital in Iowa City.

The son of Fritz and Mary Jensen, he was born in Muscatine county Jan. 1, 1890. Mr. Jensen was married to Lina Schlueten in West Liberty Oct. 16, 1911.

He was a member of the Lutheran church in Stanwood.

Survivors include his son, William, two daughters, Mrs. Marie Hanks, Stanwood, and Mrs. Martha Goodwin, Hampton; two brothers, George, Nichols, and Carl, in Arizona, and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Boyens, West Liberty, and Mrs. Minnie Kensinger, Tipton. Nine grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his wife.
