Emanuel Achenbach, 84, retired Center Point farmer and former employe of the Iowa Electric Light & Power company, died Thursday noon.

Born Aug. 13, 1872, at Cedar Bluff, he was married May 28, 1907, at Grundy Center to Delilah Zerbee. Mrs. Achenbach died in March, 1944.

Surviving are two sons, Harold, Cedar Rapids, and Lloyd, Center Point; a daughter, Mina Huston, Princton; a step-daughter, Margaret Truman, Montezuma; two sisters, Celia Munier and Angeline Stout, both of Tipton; four brothers, John, Orlando, and Isaac, all of Tipton, and Abner, Morley; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial were Saturday in the Chapel of Memories at Cedar Memorial cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
