Funeral services were held Sunday at the Methodist church in Clarence for Nelson Claney, 64, who died Friday morning in his sleep at his home in Clarence. The Rev. Cyril Ashton officiated at the services. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery.

Claney was born Jan. 4, 1891, in Stanwood, the son of William and Jessie Imray Claney. He was married to Mildred Oetting at Marion and they lived their entire married lives in the Stanwood and Clarence communities.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two sons, Howard and Arthur; two grandchildren, Don, Dean and Kathryn; one great grandson, Michael, all of Clarence, and a sister, Mrs. Margery Spohn of Cincinnati, Ohio.
